Long beach with a realistically large parking lot. Sandy floor, ideal for beginners. Need as always to check the weather. As this is a beach break, the waves may not always be the best. Photos

Huge parking lots, surfboard rental, surf school, bar and beach restaurant on the beach. Ideal spot for beginners. Big enough beach for everyone, although it's usually pretty decently crowded with surfers. Photos

The beach is mostly full of survers. Ideal spot for all levels of surfing from beginner to expert. The downside is the rather small parking lot. With a 6m caravan, we were quite a hassle to park.

Beach break beach suitable for beginners. Above the beach there is a huge parking lot where you can park your 12m caravan, Berty. Which is quite a rarity.

A long beach that is separated by the village of Baleal. Surfing is possible on both the southern and northern part. Depending on conditions and wind.

Quite a seriously nice train station, Berty. It's right in the centre, so go check it out while you're sipping port wine. The trains go to the station through the tunnel under the city. The tunnel was built in the 19th century, Berty. Photos

Have a little snack, Berty. Fried potato and cod pie with port wine. It's pretty good. We've been really wandering around downtown without any destination. They have a pretty nice old train station otherwise.

Mercado do Bolhão is a market where you can still buy a hen, Berty. In addition, they also have cakes, fish and vegetables or bread. Photos from the market

Quite a nice place for breakfast near the car park in Porto. We stopped there in the morning but also in the evening when we went back to the caravan. Photos

Parking close to the centre. On foot to the center is about 10 minutes. By bike much shorter. Since the city is on a hill, we preferred to walk.

I'd say it was one of the better restaurants we've been to in Portuguese towns. If you're in the mood for a berta fish, I highly recommend it. We were there for dinner with our neighbors from the trailer next door.

A small bar on the beach, quite normal cooking there at cool but touristy prices.

We were still parked somewhere in these places. However, it is currently forbidden for the night. If you go there during the day, you can park your caravan up to 7m without any problems.

Perfect beach for learning to surf. Sandy bottom. Surprisingly it was also quite warm, even the water was about half a degree warmer than elsewhere, Berty.

We parked in this lot for about 5 days, in 2017 it was still possible. Today you just have to camp in Portugal, Berty ?
