Location: Portugal
Long beach with a realistically large parking lot. Sandy floor, ideal for beginners. Need as always to check the weather. As this is a beach break, the waves may not always be the best. Photos
View moreHuge parking lots, surfboard rental, surf school, bar and beach restaurant on the beach. Ideal spot for beginners. Big enough beach for everyone, although it's usually pretty decently crowded with surfers. Photos
View moreThe beach is mostly full of survers. Ideal spot for all levels of surfing from beginner to expert. The downside is the rather small parking lot. With a 6m caravan, we were quite a hassle to park.
View moreBeach break beach suitable for beginners. Above the beach there is a huge parking lot where you can park your 12m caravan, Berty. Which is quite a rarity.
View moreA long beach that is separated by the village of Baleal. Surfing is possible on both the southern and northern part. Depending on conditions and wind.
View moreQuite a seriously nice train station, Berty. It's right in the centre, so go check it out while you're sipping port wine. The trains go to the station through the tunnel under the city. The tunnel was built in the 19th century, Berty. Photos
View moreHave a little snack, Berty. Fried potato and cod pie with port wine. It's pretty good. We've been really wandering around downtown without any destination. They have a pretty nice old train station otherwise.
View moreMercado do Bolhão is a market where you can still buy a hen, Berty. In addition, they also have cakes, fish and vegetables or bread. Photos from the market
View moreQuite a nice place for breakfast near the car park in Porto. We stopped there in the morning but also in the evening when we went back to the caravan. Photos
View moreParking close to the centre. On foot to the center is about 10 minutes. By bike much shorter. Since the city is on a hill, we preferred to walk.
View moreI'd say it was one of the better restaurants we've been to in Portuguese towns. If you're in the mood for a berta fish, I highly recommend it. We were there for dinner with our neighbors from the trailer next door.
View moreA small bar on the beach, quite normal cooking there at cool but touristy prices.
View moreWe were still parked somewhere in these places. However, it is currently forbidden for the night. If you go there during the day, you can park your caravan up to 7m without any problems.
View morePerfect beach for learning to surf. Sandy bottom. Surprisingly it was also quite warm, even the water was about half a degree warmer than elsewhere, Berty.
View moreIn Lisbon, trams are quite an interesting attraction. How, probably not for us, because in Slovakia or in the Czech Republic they are quite widespread. In any case, the trams are quite stylish and it's quite comfortable and cheap to see the whole centre with them. Photo gallery
View moreA large oceanarium on the south side of the city. It is ideal to visit either on the way to Lisbon from the north or on the way to the Algarve. Going over the Vasco Da Gama bridge is quite an experience. The museum has loads of big and small…
View moreMaritime museum with many models of historic ships. There are also a few full-size ships. If it's too warm during the day, it's pretty cool to check it out. Photo gallery
View moreLX Factory is a great project. They converted an old factory into a coworking space, stylish cafes, restaurants, exhibition space and product stores. A project similar to Tabačka in Košice. Definitely go there. Have a coffee or buy an unusual gift that wasn't made in China. Photo gallery
View moreMake sure to check out Time Out Market. You can sample the food there and Lisbon's fanciest restaurants at a lower price. Among other things, there's a relaxed atmosphere. It's worth going there just to have a drink and a can of sardines to go with it, Berty. Photo gallery
View morePastéis de Belém has been baking cookies since 1837. It's close to the Naval Museum. Across the road are a couple of restaurants with roasted sardines. Mostly there are lines for 15 minutes or so, Berty. Photo gallery
View moreWe parked in this lot for about 5 days, in 2017 it was still possible. Today you just have to camp in Portugal, Berty ?
