It was late afternoon in August when we were approaching France in direction from Germany. So we were start to thinking where we will spent our first night in France. Norht-east part of France has its epic winners so I search for camping Reims. In 2017, we went on a four-month motorhome road trip across Europe. We stood in numerous campsites and occasionally opting for wild camping when possible. Our journey took us from Slovakia through Austria, Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Sardinia, and finally back to our home city.
Usually we do not pick up the campsite in advance. We are deciding where we will stay according our position, road traffic, travel plan, etc. We wanted to stay just for one night so basically I looked for parking. There was no need for classic camping place in Reims. It was dark when we parked at official motorhome parking lot in centre of Reims. I remember funny story. We had to call at reception to open the ramp. We couldn’t manage to enter the code, so a kind man from reception came and help us.

The centre is calm with car traffic and easy to walk, cycle or longboard. Part of the city is pedestrianised with cafes, bakeries and restaurants.
I love french cousine and especially salt tartes, like quiche and galletes. So I was full of expectation what we will try on very first day in France in beautiful Reims.
